Mobile Tank Farm Fire Fighting System

Project description

De Gezamenlijke Brandweer (GB) is a unified fire brigade organization in the Port of Rotterdam, supporting 65 companies in the event of industrial incidents. The Port of Rotterdam is home to many refineries, petrochemical sites and tank terminals. The diversity of infrastructure among these companies makes it very difficult to fight industrial fires, especially at the tank farms. GB was looking for a solution that could transport the large quantity of water and fight fires in the largest storage tanks (up till 100m in diameter) anywhere around the port area.

Hydrodieselhas delivered a mobile fire fighting system with a capacity of 80.000 lpm that can be deployed within maximum four hours. The system is able to transport the full capacity over a distance of 1,500 meter to the most remote located tanks.
